I'm OK

Darkness
conceals the
pain
The pain
of losing
what we hold dear
We hide in the
shadows so others
don't see us cry
Saying everything is
ok Although it's a lie
You stand tall
 head strong
feeling as if
the end
is nigh
No one
realising
deep
down
every
thing
is
     NOT ok

Found Poem

Take this kiss upon the brow
And, in parting from you now,
Thus much let me avow --
You are not wrong, who deem
That my days have been a dream;

For the night -- tho' clear -- shall frown --
And the stars shall look not down,
From their high thrones in the Heaven,
With light like Hope to mortals given --
But their red orbs, without beam,
To thy weariness shall seem
As a burning and a fever
Which would cling to thee for ever :

But evil things, in robes of sorrow,
   Assailed the monarch's high estate.
(Ah, let us mourn!- for never morrow
   Shall dawn upon him desolate!)
And round about his home the glory
   That blushed and bloomed,
Is but a dim-remembered story
   Of the old time entombed.

I stand amid the roar
Of a surf-tormented shore,
And I hold within my hand
Grains of the golden sand --
How few! yet how they creep
Through my fingers to the deep,
While I weep -- while I weep

Stay Woke

As Americans we are sleeping
We sleep because our dreams are better than reality
We are led blindly into into a sense of false security
False safety
False words that tell us everything will be ok
When in reality they are not
It is time for you to see the truth
The truth doesn't nudge you gently
What is the truth?
The truth shakes you viciously until you are awake
You will know when the truth wakes you
How?
For once you will feel fear for everything and everyone you love

If you really want to make America great again do something useful be respectful.Welcome one another with loving arms. This "muslim ban" is not the way to do it. I want this on the record for everyone who read this far. Your'e loved. I open my arms and heart for you. I love you. Never forget that.

Dawn by Federico Garcia Lorca

Enjoy this poem by Federico Garcia Lorca

Dawn in New York hasfour columns of mireand a hurricane of black pigeonssplashing in the putrid waters.
Dawn in New York groanson enormous fire escapessearching between the anglesfor spikenards of drafted anguish.
Dawn arrives and no one receives it in his mouthbecause morning and hope are impossible there:sometimes the furious swarming coinspenetrate like drills and devour abandoned children.
Those who go out early know in their bonesthere will be no paradise or loves that bloom and die:they know they will be mired in numbers and laws,in mindless games, in fruitless labors.
The light is buried under chains and noisesin the impudent challenge of rootless science. And crowds stagger sleeplessly through the boroughsas if they had just escaped a shipwreck of blood.
Poet in New York 1929-1930
Translated by Greg Simon & Steven F. White

99 Problems

Nowadays people cry and complain
Always worried about the little things

When have we stopped to smell the roses?
Or maybe even look up at the sky?
Never have the time to say hello but goodbye

Mom and Dad calling from home to make sure you're alright
But have you ever tried calling to say I love you or goodnight?

Nowadays everyone is looking for a way out
When times get tough all they do is walk out

When have we ever gave our friend a hug?
Or maybe tell our worst enemy they're loved?
Never giving a thought about the things they've been through
You get so mad you blurt out I hate you

Nowadays people are always on the go
Never taking it easy or slow

When have we ever said thank you?
Or maybe even please?
But quick to say I want or need

Nowadays people are entitled to what they deserve
But that shit shit changes when life throws us a curve

When have we listened to what needed to be said?
So god damn foolish you'd rather stay inside your head

So what if you didn't get an A
Or get those new shoes
Shut the fuck up and listen to the news

People are dying
Bloodshed all throughout the streets
And your crying because you don't know what to EAT

What is water

Water, water, water
Cold, hot, hot, cold

Here, there, everywhere
Wet? Liquid? Solid? Gas?

Water, water, water
Boiling, freezing, evaporating

Vast, Limitless, Vast, Endless?
Color, colorless, color, clear

water, water, water
Pond, creek

Pond, creek, river
Pond, creek, river, lake

Pond, creek, river, lake, ocean
Water, water, water

Flowing, running, leaking
Form, elegance

A dance

Get me the hell out of Here

Take me somewhere else
Take me away from Florida
Take me away from the tourist

Take me somewhere that's not Ringling
Take me to my home free of pompous asses
Take me to a place free of entitlement
Take me to a place free of know it alls

Take me somewhere North
Take me to a place where the snow kisses the Earth
Take me to a place where there's no stupidity
Take me to a place where kindness is considered strength and not weakness

Take me somewhere free of judgement
Take me to a small town where everyone stops to say hello
Take me to a place where no one bumps into you because their on the phone
Take me to a place where no one says yeet 24/7
